Prerequisites Serve as a personal guide and mentor in the management of personal family recovery ◦Knowledge regarding Opioid use or abuse ◦Must have at least one year of experience working with people with chemical dependency disorders or HIV/AIDS in community outreach setting ◦Must be in recovery a minimum of two years ◦Knowledge of services in the recovery community ◦Link newly recovery people to the recovery community and help develop recovery capital ◦Completion of 46 hour RECOVERY COACH training ◦Ability to deliver services and activities at times & locations that are necessary to meet the needs of the target population ◦Ability to establish community trust ◦Strong team ethic ◦Belief in multiple pathways to recovery TCBAP certification preferred. Spanish fluency preferred. American Sign Language fluency a plus.
